I have been watching the Democratic convention with some amusement as Hillary gave her speech. I don’t know what Obama was thinking about letting her speak during prime time, as I don’t believe her speech helped him one bit. It isn’t about what she said, but what she didn’t say. Her speech said just enough so that he couldn’t publicly call her out for not helping, but her speech said an awful lot by what it lacked. It was definitely a read between the lines and a, “I’ll be back speech.” Now former President Bill Clinton’s speech was much better and along with the roll call vote clearly helped Obama in the polls. However I also felt his speech contained several extremely well veiled hints about how he really feels about Obama. As long as Republicans can keep their act together I believe Obama’s bump will almost instantly disappear, and McCain will over take Obama quite easily. We shall see.

Anyway, I am making final preparations to head off to Minnesota for the Republican Convention. I will arrive Saturday morning and will post what is going on as often I as can. I will be brining a digital camcorder with me so hopefully will capture something exciting. Will report in as often as possible and am looking forward to visiting Minneapolis.
